I bought a Nikon D5000 yesterday. I bought it as a bundle. It came with an accessory bag and an extra lens.
The camera comes with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR (3.0x) Which I have only taken one picture with.
The extra lens the package deal came with was an AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED (3.6x) Which I have taken over 500 pictures with.
I have to say the camera is very nice. The only thing I don't like about it at this point is that in auto focus mode if it can't focus the picture it doesn't seem to allow you to take a picture. Maybe I am doing something wrong. It seems to always take a picture in manual focus mode though. However, adjusting focus and zoom while you are trying to take a picture is a little much.
